Bought Apflickorna on dvd some days ago, but have not seen it yet. Thought it looked good, and got it recommended by a friend who works at that videostore.

Will watch it after the weekend, hopefully I'll enjoy it a bit more the you did *:|*

If I would to say true...I was tired of it. Lots of signs, sight of eyes, but noncommittal. From the beginning I quite enjoyed the film, but the more it approached the end of it, the more I did not enjoy. It's something in between Fucking Amal, Water lilies and Sherdil. But neither on one of those first two films, it isn't even far... for me. FA just something not cover.
I hope you'll have better entertainment.

Some good stuff out on dvd now or in the next week; Community season 3, Big Bang Theory season 5, Pretty Little Liars season 2 and Dr Who - The Ambassadors of Death. Looking forward to 'em. :D

Maria Hedborg played Agnes' mum.
She has quite a long career in film and stage productions. :Y

Haven't seen She Monkeys.
I've seen the trailer a couple of times but not had the conviction of it's worth to buy the DVD. *:|*
Like to know the views of others who've seen it though.

I was recording Pretty Little Liars but found myself wishing the girls would get their hair or makeup mussed up a little.
It was starting to annoy me so I stopped watching. :T

lol What an odd thing to obsess over.

Doctor Who - The Angels Take Manhattan. Amy and Rory exit in dramatic fashion in this decent episode. On the downside, it's the weakest of the Angels stories - and there's a general sense of overfamiliarity in the episode overall, but there's some good tension and scares, and the companions' exit is highly dramatic and very poignant.

Finished Community season 3. Brilliant. Highlights include the epic pillow fight war documentary pisstake, the brilliantly aped Law and Order homage/parody and the fabulous pisstake of those now incredibly cliched movie twists where the main character turns out to have been imagining everything all along, with the bent psychiatrist trying to convince the expelled college group that there's no such place as Greendale Community College and they've actually been in a mental asylum for the last three years. Frickin' hilarious.

Love them coming out of the shrink's office in shock, and then Jeff just stops and goes "What the hell? That MADE NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!"

Had it recorded for a week but only just got around to watching it.
I'll miss Amy. :(

Maybe I'll ditch the Doctor and follow Karen's career from now on. *:)* :P

One could hardly blame you with the show in its current state. :P

On that note, saw Doctor Who - The Ambassadors of Death last night on dvd for the first time. First up, not sure about the recolourisation. The quality isn't all that great and I found it quite distracting at times, especially on episode 2 after the normal-colour part 1. That said, Ambassadors is a cracker - a terrific, gritty, gripping SF military conspiracy thriller - amazing that three hours just fly by yet these days even the 45 minute ones seem to drag. They sure don't make 'em like this anymore. Jon Pertwee, Nicholas Courtney and Caroline John are on great form, and there's some great guest turns from Ronald Allen, John Abineri and William Dysart as the coolly professional mercenary Reegan. There's no denying it - season 7 of the original show kicked ARSE. *:)*

Started Dead Like Me season 2. Superb show. So very funny, yet so achingly sad too at the same time.

Jonathan Creek - Satan's Chimney. A glamorous actress (Mary Tamm, Who's Romana1) is murdered on the set of her latest film in a seemingly unexplicable crime - how can the killer have fired through a plate glass window without breaking it? If that wasn't enough of a mystery, the funeral - held at a Gothic mansion in Scotland - sees an illusionist manage to disappear without trace from a locked medieval dungeon with a sinister reputation, only to turn up dead himself.... The 2004 Xmas special is cracking stuff. :D

Doctor Who - The Beast Below. Not an ep I've been a big fan of in the past, but I rather enjoyed it this time, perhaps because it seems so FRESH in comparison to the very tired recent half-season. Also nice to go back to an 11th Doctor who was quirky solely because of Smith's acting choices, rather than being written like an idiot. :P

Didn't think "Beast" was the best of that series, but it is a good one. *:)*

I still like the first one best, when Amy says "Why did you say five minutes".
Makes me all tingly.
