Jonathan Creek: The Tailor's Dummy. Following a brutal critical mauling, a rich old fashion designer throws himself to his death from his second story bedroom window. It seems a clear cut case of suicide... but why on Earth did he throw his beloved pet bird out first? Jonathan has an uneasy suspicion this "suicide" may in fact be a breathtakingly cruel and cynical murder... A classic. :D

Doctor Who - The Rebel Flesh 2parter. An enjoyable thriller, albeit one that never quite delivers on its potential. An atmospheric spin on the base under seige formula - the twist being that the base is under siege from identical copies of its own occupants - with some scary moments. It goes a little downhill at the end, with a far too easy and pat resolution, though it almost makes up for it with the jawdropping closing cliffhanger in the TARDIS.

Finnishing up on the danish mini-series Riget(The Kingdom) from the 90's, will watch the last episode tomorrow.
Brilliant show, the earliest work of Lars von Trier.
He really hit the nail with the eery atmosphere, very creepy and fascinating.
A good mixure of humour and horror, all the characters are done very well.
I especially find Ernst-Hugo Järegård's character hilariousy uncanny, as the danish-hating attending physician from Sweden.

If you haven't allready, you should check it out. Think I'll even start again from the beginning immediately after finnishing it up. 8)

Started Misfits season 4. Very good, even if it almost an entirely different cast and show than when it started now!

I rewatched Doctor Who - Night Terrors and The Girl Who Waited last night. Night Terrors... well, it's not very good, to be blunt. I enjoyed it the first time, probably because anything would have looked good after the mess that was Lets Kill Hitler, but aside from a few creepy moments with the dolls, its pretty subpar, a weak atory with weak acting.

Girl Who Waited is excellent though - easily the best single-story episode outside of 2010. Arriving in a strange facility on an alien world, Amy presses the wrong button and finds herself isolated in a separate time line in a quarantine facility where time moves faster. The Doctor and Rory try to get to her in the TARDIS but arrive a little late... 36 years late. A high concept SF tale that hits the regulars where it hurts, if they were all this good I'd be a lot happier with this era right now!

But when are the new ones coming out?????
I'm tired of waiting. :Z

Realised again how good an actress Alex is.
Watched Fröken Sverige again and thought she was excellent.
Again. *:)*

Two weeks - we're actually getting it just the day after the UK! *:)* :D

Saw Fright Night 2 last night. Used to be a favourite, but haven't seen it for 17 years, not least because no one's released it on DVD in the western world (rights issues or something :T ) and the foreign dvd goes for something like $80 on ebay. Fortunately some kind soul took pity on us all poor/cheapskates and have put the full thing on YT.
Really enjoyed it. Great campy 80s comedy-horror. Cheese-tastic. And I thought - and still think - that Traci Lin was absolutely gorgeous too. :)P Should have been a bigger star! :(

I was somewhat surprised by a Harry Potter conversation in the Misfits season 4 episode I watched last night, as one of the characters cops to being a fan:

"The most intriguing thing about the franchise is... at what point does it become okay to wanna **** Hermione?"

   O-)

Doctor Who - the Galaxy 4 recovered episode and recon last night. The recon was passable I suppose, though still eyeglazing at times, I couldn't sit through a whole one like that. The recovered episode I thoroughly enjoyed, great to see a whole new classic Who episode I've never seen before. The regulars were on great form and Stephanie Bidmead gives good villainess. All in all it looks like a pretty decent little story, shame we can't see it all.
