OK, this is the fourth episode of Les Revenants I've watched, the random one at the folks' and the first three episodes in sequence; and it's getting right under my skin, now...when it finished, I realised I'd been holding my breath.

The silent little boy, "Victor" [evidently not his real name] has apparently just  murdered  the nosy neighbour who upset his mysteriously-chosen guardian Julie, by threatening to call the cops about her 'illegal adoption' of him... :(

He and Julie have deeply bonded, really quickly; which is a little odd since she's a sweet dyke who is very traumatised after being savagely attacked herself, by a knife-wielding psycho, seven years before

Also, it seems to have been him standing in the road that caused the accident in which the 40 in the coach died, which started all this...and he's so cute! :T

My kind of show.
I'm looking forward to it. :Y

From the plot description Les Revenants looks very promising. Have to check it out soon.

Watched the first episode last night.
Very spooky, very good. *:)*

Hope not, but "someone" is bound to steal this story and do a re-make for those who can't read sub-titles. *:|*

Almost inevitable, sadly.

How about Yara Pilartz ["Camille"] in the Acquartian beauty/strangeness stakes? An excellent example, I think.

Knew you'd like it!

Thanks for the recommendation, this was quite good.
Saw the first episode on yt last night, now I'm mulling over whether to keep watching on yt, or to order the dvd.
If I go for the latter, it'll take at least a week untill arrival. *:|*

I think you gave away a few spoilers in your previous post though, Dave.
But don't worry, I'll cope.

Yes, sorry about that, it was a little thoughtless.

Mind you there's a great deal more, so hopefully not too much of your enjoyment has been spoiled.

Also, it seems little 'Victor' didn't kill the nosy neighbour after all, they were just messing with us. He does have some very strange effects on people, though he doesn't do it on purpose, it seems.

I do hope they've got the long-term story arc sorted, it would be a shame if it devolved into a 'Lost' type of 'make it up as you go along' fiasco, after such a promising first series.

They don't even start fiming the second series until early 2014 !

Tell them to slow down. I'm only up to ep 4.

How about Bourka for the role of Léna, Camile's twin sister, when they come to do the re-make.
She'd be the right age to play the role.
And Jenna Thiam (Léna) did play Marine in "Le Chant des Sirens", so there's a connection there already. :T

And Victor seriously reminds me of Norman Bates in Psycho.

Lovin' it so far. *:)*

At least one reviewer said Victor 'gives us the heeby-jeebies', and he is rather spooky; but his scenes with Julie [Celine Sallette] tell another, very touching story, no?

The sisters are very well cast, both with their huge flags of red hair, no?

All kinds of discrimination are stupid and nasty, of course, but I've always found that against "gingers" particularly, head-scratchingly, WTFF? moronic.

Is it just a US/UK disease, or does it also go on elsewhere? I do hope not.

Sorry to say, but theres somewhat discrimination against the redheads to be detected around here too.
Maybe not in the same degree as in the UK, but enough to take notice.

Mindblowing if you'd ask me. :-?

I think it's somewhat similar in Australia but I've never noticed any "nasty" red-head discrimination.

Personally I just luuuurve red-headed women. *:)*

Vicious morons will seize on any 'difference', however trivial, presumably trying to increase their sense of belonging by excluding someone else. It's the shitty side of human [sheep?] nature.

South Park parodied it and, no doubt to their horror, morons took them literally, forming FascBook ginger-hate groups, making 'witty' posters and blah fucking blah...urgh.
