The camera loves her to bits, I think. In the film [and the majority of stills too] she never looks the same twice.

That's true. *:)*
She has a very expressive face which I think is very sensual and attractive.

I don't have sexual fantasies about her either, and I'd be worried if I did. I just think she is extraordinaire, a very special talent and presence. Given half a chance I'm sure she will produce more great work, as per 'Marie'.

I just watched 'Au Septieme Jour' again, and though it's great to see l'Acquart in something else, and a bit more grown up, I wish I hadn't, now. It's so sad!

'Au Septieme Jour' is the one with the cliff isn't it?
I've only seen it once, that was enough for now, so sad. :(

Powerful shots, these last two. L'Acquart looks very self-possessed, and older than her 16[?] years. Presumably these are post-NdP?

Also, how do you keep finding this stuff? When I look on imageshack I just get mountains of utter crap!

Imageshack is OK for storing your own pics but very few people ever tag them for others to find.
It's pretty much "hit and miss" with Pauline just now, mainly google seach, if you can put up with a search engine that knows better than you what it is your searching for. :r But you occasionally pick up a newspaper/magazine/blogg article which leads to something new.
Just searching in google images is frustrating though 'cause 99% is crap you don't want, and they never show you all of the images they claim to have. The trick is to make a good "exclusion" list you can use each time you search.

Other than that you can sharpen your investigative skills. Social networking sites can be usefull if you can track down a few people who might be her "friends" and then seach all their friends. Once you find one the posibilities grow quickly.
Also, though I haven't got the gist of it in France yet, in Sweden then are a few professional photographers specialising in the "club scene", which is good for Alex. There's probably something similar in France, but whether Pauline's into that scene I don't know.
Like I said, pretty much hit and miss yet, but, early days.

A very blurry pic found on Tumblr. *:|*

"Quel niveau?"

"Je sais pas. Nul..."

I think part of the reason for the dearth of recent pics is that l'Acquart, who after all is still not quite 20, is finishing her studies and juggling that with short film, TV and theatre work; so I doubt she has the time or energy for clubbing and celeb-type 'see and be seen' activities.

I really hope my theory about unwelcome attention after NdP, and a media blackout policy, is incorrect; but given the way pic searches all seem to devolve into porn at some point, I wouldn't be surprised...

I love the chosen fishy pic. it was a definitive vignette which showed Marie, being politely pragmatic but inwardly determined. Given that there is not a huge dialogue to the script I wish that the subs were a little more developed. The kiosk clerk actually says something like ''Come back in September, with a (medical) certificate and the cheque in your hand'' which is unwelcoming and dismissive. Likewise, as I have mentioned before, Florianes penultimate remark to Marie is not ''I'd better get back in there." but is akin to "Le Marche du temps'' = ''The March of Time (literally)'' or else ''Time marches on (colloquially)'' which is far more brutal, and final i.e. ''I've given you what you want, let's get on with our lives''.

just an observation :|

I think that these two films FA and WL are full of secret and hidden fragments and meanings. :D

Subtitles generally seem very poor approximations to me, which, as you say, is all the more distressing in this case.

I've checked four different French .srt's now, in the process of trying to obtain a better English translation; and they all say it's "Bon, J'y retourne" ["Well, I'm going back"] - which is hardly less cold and brutal under the circumstances.

If it is correct, and I'm still not sure despite many time-stretched listens, my dim notions of idiomatic French pronunciation must be even dimmer than I thought!
