im a bit irritated by the fact that most of the persons here have very, very good films at the list and on the other hand very, very, very bad and comecial american films....
appart of FA and Modysson: i like Amenabar ("abre los ojos,"the others", "mar adentro" etc.), Almodovar ("la mala educacion", "todo sobre mi madre" etc.) and Alex de la Iglesia("el dia de la bestia", "crimen ferpecto"etc.). theyre all spanish but they make very good films (amodovar won an Oscar). and i love old films like: el perro andaluz (i think Dalí took part of it) and Nosferatu (the one directed by Murnau). I like also the film "Una de Zombies" (by miguel angel lamata) i think it was only in cinemas in spain and "El dia de la bestia" (by alex de la iglesia). i didnt watch "wir kinder vom bahnhof zoo" but i read the book. it really impressed me. i think the only american film-director who i really like is kevin smith ("jay and silent bob" films). im thinking about more but at the moments thats all
age: 14
sex: female
sexuality: bi/ (well at the moment more) lesbian
what i ever wanted to say to you: hello (lol. i dont wanted to insult or something. so i wrote hello)
why this signature suckz: couse i made it without thinking about it a lot and its stupid and boring
I'm a huge fan of New Zealand director Peter Jackson.
He's just great in my mind.

I have all of his films on DVD and they're all great. From his early splatter-movies to "Heavenly Creatures", which is very much like FA to his great LOTR-trilogy.

Besides from loving his films I like the way he's so passionate about filmmaking. And he cares a lot for his fans.

Heavenly creatures is based on a true story and to me it has not much in common with Fucking Amal...but it is a good movie indeed. :P

Maybe they're not so similiar, but both are about two girls discovering they're love for each other. :D

But Heavenly Creatures has no happy end...by the way it's i think the best Kate Winslet movie. :P

Tell me something about "lost in translation" because I heard 2 completely different review about it...first that it's very very good and inteligent movie and second one that's it's more than boring...

mmh well i think it depends
what "type" you are
it's a very soft and slow movie without cliches to be oriented towards
it also have not that obvious, loud and bubbling over feelings
you have to be very sensitive to get it
it's also complety different to FA, but have in common that it's not the typical hollywood movie
(however it comes from there)
i think you should give it a try too see and feell... :-)

I also recommend Sofia Coppola's debut film "The Virgin Suicides"! What a wonderful movie!

ah you're talking about you favourite films? How come that i haven't notice that earlier ;)

So my favourite films:

1) BluePrint (a VERY nice German film with Franka Potente (i could tell you late about that if you like to...))
2) American Beauty
3) Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain
4) Fucking Amal
5) Forrest Gump
6) About a boy
7) Cool Runnings
8) Lola rennt (also german with Franka Potente (btw my favourite actrice ;) )
9) Romeo & Juliette (the new one with Leonardo DiCarprio)( i love this new background with the traditional dialogs)
10) Titanic (somehow it must have been at my list ;) )

The worst films i've ever seen:

1) Juressic Park
2) Gladiator
3) Troy

The most boring films i've ever seen (so called "Not for people under 16 years" <_< )

1) Anatomie (i watched it only because of Franka Potente but that made it not better...)
2) silence of the lambs
3) Hannibal (red dragon was ok, but also not THE shocker for me...) the books were better (as usual)

I have to agree "Hannibal" book was definately better than the movie and I got upset that the director changed the ending..it's different from the book's ending but still Sir.Anthony Hopkins was amazing as Dr Hannibal Lecter!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it was because it was after midnight (i fell asleep a few times...) but the fact was that this film did't really shock me! (i know that it's not good to watch the film before reading the book because in the film there are ofter differences) The only film which shocked me (a bit) was "IT" from Stefen King... (at the moment i'm reading the book, i think that will help me to understand the story... (the ending was a bit confusing...)

but i agree with you! Anthony Hopkins was great in "the silence of the lambs"! ;)
