Meh, that Big magazine I got off ebay turned up today, Bit lame. One (small) photo of a certain someone, and it was only a (very slight) variation on one from the 1992 annual I've already got. Boo shucks. I'm never gonna find that October issue...

Burglars.

got called in on a day off cos we had an attempted burglary overnight at work. Three doors with windows broke and another three large windows smashed. 800 quid damage. Hahaha! They didn't manage to get in though Next time I'll be waiting for them with the Bex knife

Being offered a new job. No, that's not the annoying part. The annoying part is that the brief made so little sense I've had to email them back to ask them what the hell it is they actually want me to do. May as well have been written in Swedish for all the sense it made. Now, granted, I could be having a thick day, but after reading it I needed to take an aspirin and go have a little lie down in the corner.

Ian, I hope your "thick day" is out of the way and you've managed to interpret the new job specs.

What's annoying me at the moment is the weather forecast...The next seven days at least are all mid to high 30'sC with no sign of rain. It's a bit too early in the spring to start getting such a run of hot weather, not a good sign for summer.

No, I'm not looking forward to having to work all day on the computer when it gets up to 37C.

Job still hasn't got back to me yet. Not my fault if they won't write English.

Trying to figure out if you can tape digital channels on an ordinary VCR, and feeling it may be finally be time for me to get a top set box.

I put in a full day trying to do that when FÅ was on SBS3 (?) recently.
An STB might work and I believe a Blu-ray recorder gives you more options, but I failed completely with my basic DVD recorder.
Had to find someone with a Tivo to record it for me and now it's just trapped on their hard drive. All I wanted was a look at different sub-titles too.

On the same note, trying to explain to my mother that you can't tape a digital channel and watch another.

I just found out that she deleted FÅ from the Tivo because I hadn't said I still wanted to see it.

Work giving me this new assignment to do on Friday, and waiting til today to tell me I've only got til Thursday to do it all. Jeez Louise, people, thanks for the advance notice.

Windows Movie Maker was being a total b word this afternoon. I had to save the movie into 11 - ELEVEN! - separate sections and then recombine and save them again in order to work. Wouldn't save more than 40 second bursts, and by the end wouldn't save more than 10 seconds worth!

I got it done, though, was determined not to let the SOB beat me!
