I was hoping to be able to make new Rebecka and Alex MVs today too.

FAIL.

Digital TV freezing in the last 2 minutes of today's Sons & Daughters. To make it worse, not only had I checked it just 2 minutes earlier, but that last 2 minutes happened to be one of the most dramatic scenes in the history of the show, one I can still remember from a quarter of a century ago - Martin Healy trying to drown his teenage son in the family swimming pool.

I am so ticked off. :T :x

Fortunately, thanks to a kind soul on another forum, the Gods of YouTube came to the rescue. I even managed to cunningly edit it onto the end of the episode on DVD.

Yes, I'm taping them. Well, some of them. Sad, I know. :T

You do need to get a life, don't you? :P

Just as sad is that I have whole series of stuff recorded that I just know I'll never want to watch, ever, and yet I can't bring myself to record over them. :( *:|*

That the part of the American Lisbeth Salander was cast a few weeks ago and went to the (to me at least) unknown Rooney Mara.

Of course, I trust the awesome David Fincher (Fight Club for example) who is directing the movie to choose the most fitting girl for the part, but what disappointed me was that Ellen Page didn't get it. From what I understood she was trying pretty hard to get the role alongside like 5 other more or less famous girls (one of them was Carey Mulligan btw, Kyle :)). I'm sure Mara will do a great job, but Ellen would have ROCKED the part.

And for those of you who still think of Ellen as nothing but Juno, check out the film "Hard Candy". It will blow your mind and the quirky 16-year-old will be long gone :P If she could do that film when she was 17, she would have no problem pulling of Lisbeth at 23.

And maybe, just MAYBE, it all has do with the fact that I wouldn't have minded having Ellen coming to live in Stockholm for months while shooting the film here... But no. :(

 I wasn't going to. I didn't bother last year as it seemed too much trouble when I was doing 1988 H&A as well. But... it's getting really good lately, and entering the period I kind of remember strongly from when I was a kid, so...

...yeah, I do need to get a life! :D

I hope she can do justice to the role. She has a tough act to follow.

I honestly hope they can produce a great remake, but I'm still finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact that they even need a remake of such a recent film. :|

One of the mice has died.
The other one's in mourning.

Consequently the little wheel which powers my computer is almost stationary.

Bloody mice. :x :T
