Seems to be OK for around 20-30 mins, then gets bored or something and falls asleep.

And I hate trying to talk to them in the Phillipines to convince them it's their fault and not mine. I mean, the only Tagalog I know is after watching Mammoth.

Can't even get inspired to find/make any Rebecka/Alex pics when everything is rreeaallllyy ssllooww.

WTF has gone wrong with imageshack is what I want to know. It won't work anymore - I post the codes it gives you here and elsewhere and get nothing.

I seem to have no problem posting from there.
My only issues have been:
1. Sometimes the link in my "favourites" doesn't work and I have to type "imageshack" into Google and hit the link there. That seems to work OK but I can't understand why I have a problem with the saved link, and then only sometimes.
2. When I want to upload multiple pics there is sometimes a very annoying ad for Telstra which sits on top of the upload pop-up and won't let me select any files. If I keep refreshing the page until a different ad appears I can then upload. Bloody annoying. Zero business for Telstra from me.


I rang my ISP again and in my best Tagalog I tried to explain that my internet connection kept slowing down and then dropping out every few minutes. It was very politely explained to me that the problem was with the infrastructure in Adelaide. It seems I just live too far from the nearest exchange. Like a whopping 4.5 kms.

As long as it's not Telstra I think I'm in the market for a new ISP.

MY internet refused to connect tonight for 45 minutes for no apparent reason, and then suddenly did, for no apparent reason. I had visions of having to traipse down to the frickin' library in order to do any work like last time.

Been on the phone for the last hour or two with my good friends in the Phillipines.
I have had a steady connection for the last few days but rreeaallyy ssllooww. Not quite as fast as Zimbabwe. (2.5% of the Aust average speed)

Then Louis came to help and we got up level with Peuto Rico. (25% the average)
Then Palestine. (40% of the average)

But that's still 30 times faster than Zimbabwe.

It's like having a whole team of mice running in my little power wheel.

Now, if only I can get them to all run in the same direction.

My Who Cyber boxset finally turned up today - almost FOUR weeks after being shipped. Gotta love that quality post service.

I am so ticked off with technology today. My DSL suddenly decided to drop out at 10:30 this morning. Tried everything, turning things off and on, unplugging and plugging back in, nothing worked. Got a new splitter/filter, that didn't work either. Then at 2:30 - having wasted half the day when I should have been working (which means I'm now going to have to catch up on the weekend) - it suddenly comes back on, for no reason at all.

Then this evening, the video/TV signal to the TV going through my DVD recorder suddenly decides to go black and white, for no reason. Then about half an hour later, it suddenly rights itself, for no reason.

I am so ticked off with technology today.
