It never fails to appall me that in these so called "enlightened" times there are still people being persecuted simply for who they are. Many parents seem determined to pass on their own prejudices to their offspring.
Shame on them. *:|*

Another interesting article on that page also caught my eye.

I think you may be right. I am officially thick as two short planks. Although I think the story is a reflection of what the real situation is for many kids, in the USA especially.

All except the "dildo" one, that has to be real.

And my opening statement still stands, particularly wherever religious fundamentalism rears its ugly head. :x

Had a lucid dream last night. As is ALWAYS the case when I have a lucid dream, I'm only in either my house or my neighbourhood and while it is kind of cool to kind of fly around and touch things while knowing it's a dream, there's never anyone else there, I can't go anywhere else or get anything different to happen.

It's very annoying.

With all the spycams around now you should be very careful about touching things while flying round your neighbourhood.
I mean, there are certain standards of decency to maintain. :W :P

Waiting over an hour in bloody Centrelink just to try and put in a bloody application for a health care card. I walked out in the end, some woman next to me had been waiting 2 hours! Some people actually have REAL work to do, you know.

I'm very very sad. My teacher (schoolmistress - asistant) of ''making a books'' (hand-paper or books binding) died. :(  She was very very young and good, nice, friendly. Someone of us had familiar form with her. And all the time she was helping to us with so difficult hand work as is make a books. Right now when is out so beautiful weather ( about +30°C  :T ) I have bad feeling and even if I wrote here some about ''scared of future'' so it shall must happen this disaster. :(

Sorry to hear that Kat

A ruined textbook can always be replaced. A dedicated teacher can never replaced. :N

YOU ARE ''the future'' Katka. Like a ''relay'' race, your teacher has passed on the baton into your hand to complete the race.

Of course the future is uncertain. It always will be. But you gain STRENGTH. Her spirit will always be with you, urging you on to achieve personal ambitions which she no longer can. Take comfort.

Allow yourself to grieve for a while. Sure. Then renew your mission to meet your future. When you have doubts, look over your shoulder, SHE will be there, urging you onwards.
