Mid-day Wed in Åmål.

Bloody hell!
The place looked brighter at two o'clock this morning. At least the lights were on then and it looked quite pretty. Now it just looks a miserable grey brown mucky colour.

But it seems like the thaw might be just around the corner 'cause the road is starting to make a re-appearance. *:)*
Next thing you know that bloody empty drink bottle will be back. :x :P

Tuesday 10:15 in Åmål and it's another miserable dark day. *:|*
Even the road's trying to disappear under snow again.

Hang on. A nice bright blue bus just went past. :D
Now that has really made my day. :T

Its 22.10 in Amal. I thought it was just foggy or misty. Nope. It's driving snow on a howling wind. if you look at the streetlight, extreme right hand side about a third the way down, you can see the snowflakes. My poor dear leaping salmon friends Agnes and Elin are getting covered again. I swear if you check out Amal late nite, you can see them move and cosy up to one another for a little warmth. How anyone survives in that climate and latitude I really don't know. I guess you get used to it. Either that or you become an alco manic depressive bi-sexual  Hurrumph. Good job I don't live there then or gawd knows what I might turn into

Nearly 11:00 Thurs.
Sun shining, great looking day, but so white.
The river even looks like it has snow/ice on it.

Where are my shades? 8)

Friday 08:50 and some w*rker is on the roof right in front the webcam shovelling snow off the roof.

I'll be really annoyed if he doesn't remove that bloody empty bottle as well. :x :P

No, leave the bottle! It's becoming almost as much of an Amal icon as the bridge.

8.30 am CET. It's looking bleak. Various dogs taking their owners for a walk. Can't even see the river there's so much banked snow around it. Why did they have to wait for it to snow before going after the bottle?

09:00. It's a shocker isn't it? :r
"Bleak", I'd call it downright depressing. Even "ugly" isn't enough today.

What's the national winter drink for Sweden?
Whatever it is they'd better order in an extra crate today. :P

Mmh... I get a still image with no refresh.
Even the ÅmalCam can't stand it.

Cam is back up, although the pic is ''frozen'' like the scenery. I have a suggestion to make. That we maintain a 24/7 vigil on the webcam on 27th April, to mark Agnes birthday (starting CET Sweden time). We should write to the Mayor of Amal and inform him/her/it that we are so doing, and invite people to come and wave at the webcam. :Y Everyone who does wave gets a free ticket for the lucky prize draw. First Prize is ''the bottle on the roof'' the most exciting thing to happen in Amal since we started watching the webcam.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. *:)*

02:30 and some poor sod is walking along the other side of the road towards the bridge.
Probably lost track of where shovelman threw the bottle.

OK. So which of the salmon are Agnes and Elin, and who's the other one? :? :W

The two upfront of course. The lurker in the background chasing tail is Johan Hultsalmon.

quick quick, look now. 9.20 am CET. The sun is actually shining! 8) *:)* On second thoughts, it still looks depressing. *:|*

Keep the shades on, it's gone 10:30 and the sun is blazing down. And when I say "down" I mean of course "sideways". Bloody hell the sun must be low in the sky.

I'm sick of all this snow and I don't even have to live in it, and I think the bright sun is only encouraging Johan Hultsalmon. I'm sure I saw him trying a move on Elin.
