It's not even 2 years old, though, which is pathetic. Won't be buying an LG Recorder again. The uber-cheap never-heard-of-brand player that blew up last year at least managed 3 years.

I'm gradually coming around to that point of view too.

Why pay the big bucks only to be disappointed when the thing dies after a couple of years when you can buy an "el cheapo" brand several times over, have a machine in operation longer, and still have cash in the pocket.

EDIT: Have bought an Icon DVD Recorder off ebay, $100 incl p&p. Basic recorder, no frills, but it's also region free, which sold me. Did the tour of shops this afternoon, couldn't see anything I fancied for the prices, so it was back to good ol' ebay as usual!

I just hope it doesn't suck.

Couldn't watc h my The Bill dvd. For some reason, the only dvd player the discs ever worked on was the recorder, and now that won't play anything. Hope they work on the new one when it turns up, otherwise I'm royally stiffed.

I checked out the seller in Malaysia where I bought my copy and he seems to be the one you found as he now only has copies with French subs and not English.

Looks like you'll just have to wait.

Apparently it's coming out at the CINEMA in Australia late March (but getting a New Zealand dvd release at the same time). Will see where I can see/get it first. Looking forward to it now, saw the trailer on YT, looks good.

Having to buy a Who boxset from the UK (at extra cost) because the version set to be released in oz in a few months willl be missing an entire sequence - due to copyright reasons (it features Beatles music). That is so damn lame.
