I can explain...put down the gun, please...now, listen, I could either download the pic, print it out, draw a grid over it, transfer the grid to a suitable canvas, painstakingly redraw all the main lines and blocks, fill in with paint, and then re-photograph and upload the result...or...I could just crop it nicely in a graphics program, fiddle with the brightness and contrast, crush it down to 16 colours to get that blobby Expressionist thing going, and re-upload. See?

DMt. : Wait! Obviously, for reasons of...of...of artistic integrity, I had to pursue the course that would give the best result; and given my truly awesome painting skills that's, uh, exactly what I did. You don't like it? OK, OK, put down the gun, already...look, I'll do a proper portrait, full classical method...all you have to do is sit for me every afternoon for, ooh, about six months should do it...how does that sound?

Maybe she's caught on to the latest strange trend in Norway, called "naking" (nudeing). Sort of a even weirder version of the Australian "planking". You simply climb a mounten, undress to the full monty, and have you're picture taken infront of a cliff or something.

Well, that's my theory, anyway. I've several times thought of making a .gif of that part of the video, but thought better of it because of misinterpretation / misappropriation issues.

Did you come up with it, or have you seen it somewhere?

You know what, Au Septieme Jour is a really seriously heavy bit of work... l'Acquart's spot-on portrayal of teenage alienation and despair is very scary indeed, and Samuel Doux is evidently very aware of what a talent he is directing, in her; the camera work is reverent, adoring almost.

I hope someday they can work on a full-length feature [and that it's at the other end of the emotional spectrum ]
