People are imbeciles the whole world over.
Especially when it come to putting off those things that have to be done. :T

Just to make you feel better, it's still in the last throes of winter here, I mean, most days it's hardly getting over 20C. :P
(sorry)

Don't get me wrong, I love the snow too, but only for a few days visit up to the high country in winter. Then I need to go home and thaw.
As for Christmas, it's only what you're used to.
Christmas in the warmth does have some advantages. *:)* :P

Uuuuurgh...a stinky streaming snotty 'cold' or whatever has gained on me over the past few days; nostrils are grated raw by unwise bogroll* use [never a good idea longer-term, but ran out of quality tissues]; have just cycled to supermarket, all swaddled up like Santa Claus, and got decent tissues, ginger wine, medium [read: fierce!] lime pickle, frozen Black Forest fruits, and a cherry pie for two [ahem].

Have now had three large mulled ginger wines [with hot water, Chinese 5-spice, lemon juice and sugar] and a modicum of dihydrocodeine, and an early night grows more attractive by the minute.

Treatment is symptomatic - [a medical joke, it means 'just try to make the poor bugger comfortable while we see if he dies or not...' ]

Did I say 'Uuuuurgh'...'?

I meant UUUUURGH!!

Woe is DMt.!!

Oh dear, oh dear. Just, I mean just getting over mine. What I call a 2 + 2. 2 weeks of heavy-duty snot-laden Hell, followed by 2 weeks of recovery time.

Evidently it's roaring up and down the country, then, seeking whom it may devour

Glad you're on the mend though, snapsie.

No reason for either of you to give up the mulled wine though. :D

Glad you're on the mend Snapsie.

Had to buy a new computer today finally. My old one went a bit barmy; the button you use to turn it on on the front actually collapsed and went inside it! Had the back off but still couldn't get to it. It didn't seem worth it to get it repaired - it's eight years old and slow and lethargic as an arthritic hedgehog. So it had to go out to pasture.

Had a helluva time setting up the new one though, trying to get everything connected and back on the net. Thank God it happened after I'd finished work for the day, though, otherwise I would have been in for a fun evening. Going to take some getting used to Windows 7 after eight years of Windows XP. VERY glad I joined Dropbox a while back and had all my documents backed up. Still got to redo all my Favourites though and redownload various software. Still, could be worse I suppose.

The real problem is I can't seem to see Windows Movie Maker on there at the moment. *:|*

I could have lived without all the fuss, though.

And now I'm very confused. I was just about eight minutes off of having a mix dvd ready for burning prior to the old computer going. Aside from my own, I hadn't backed up the files. I've downloaded everything I can remember from YT again, yet still seem to 9 minutes shy of what it was before. And I can't think what could be missing. :(

My scanner is apparently incompatible with the new version of Windows on my new computer. *:|*

Yeah, I've been to the Canon site. Not compatible with Windows 7. Too old, apparently. :(

Well, I suppose I''ll get another but it won't be for a while. Spent enough of late, I think. :(
