SBS in Australia in a free to air channel which usually shows two or three "foreign" language films each evening, and FÅ, Fröken Sverige, and lots of others are screened every few years. I always keep an eye open to see if I want to record what's on.

Roughly 55C difference on this side of the globe, don't know which is worst. We can easily dress warm to avoid freezing though, but there's just about so how much clothes you could remove.
No, that's a tough call that one. I spent a fortune on ducted, reverse cycle air conditioning to try and escape our summers,(and to avoid taking off that much clothing) , just as you probably spent fortunes on heating. And yet we still love where we live.
