I'm not being snide [or satirical] At All. I thought 'frock guitar' was pretty good...I hope it would make Yohio laugh, anyway.
I actually CAN see Yohio completely wowing them on the Big Bang Theory, with something of the impact of David Bowie in the 70's; and I've provided a few plot seeds/character takes illustrating this. [Penny finding herself mothering him already makes me laugh].
Any show that can make an out gay man [the excellent Jim Parsons/Sheldon Cooper] the comedy king of America, can surely handle the dress/gender issues Yohio represents with sufficient grace; he would basically get to play himself, could explain he isn't gay, play a bit of guitar set to stun, talk cosmology/computers/comics with Sheldon and the boys, clothes/makeup/neuroscience with Penny and the girls...I reckon it could be a very good thing for all concerned.
As to my own homophobia, I don't [can't] pretend it doesn't exist, but it ain't the boss of me, see. So I'm a bit disappointed, here.
