Just got home a day ago from a great week in Dublin, Ireland, to the sad news of two major forest fires on each side of my county, one of them still ongoing.
It's a big county, and the fire is many miles away from my town, but still...
Up to 140 bulidings are likely to be burned to the ground, along with many acres of woods.
Thankfully there is no reports of any people injured.

I saw an item about that on the news.
Very sad when those events occur in your country, regardless of how far from them you may be.
Let's hope they can be contained quickly and the damage is minimised.

They got me when they said they'd delete all my pics if I didn't sign up.
That's over 8,000 pics at last count. All posted here too.
Lost me as a friend but won me as a new client.

Also ticking me off today: My DVR Recorder has buggered again, barely two weeks after repair. Only it's not the same fault, so it's not under the guarantee. I do not effing believe it!

To add insult to injury, my old VCR has also decided to give up the ghost and chew up an old tape in the process.

And apparently the new series of Sherlock started LAST week and I missed it because they didn't bother to TELL ANYONE!

Not sure, but I think when they delete images it also means the images disappear from where they're posted.
Like the Forum.

A quick look at older posts, and the pics I've uploaded with imageshack is still viewable.
And I'm quite sure I've never paid a dime.

I bought Criminal Minds season 5 on DVD about six months back from Target. Started it a few weeks back with disc 1, fine. Get to disc 2... unplayable. As are discs 3-6. 2 have what look like huge scratches on the back. This was a brand new boxset and I no longer have the effing receipt.

I don't believe it... my local cinema strikes again. They haven't got Grand Budapest Hotel... but they can get Ride Along with Ice Cube.

What in the Holy Lord F**k is wrong with them?!

I knew this was a mistake. Visited the LTROI Forum, first time in maybe 18 months. Trying to track down a few original postings of stories and poems of mine that didn’t survive the house fire from a coupla a years ago, and that I can’t find on other websites where I have posted.

As always, lots of interesting posts by others. Usually in the ‘off-topic sections’ Still the same ‘USA Navy’ Leadership approach and dictats. ‘We will NOT tolerate politics’ Weird, given that the setting of ‘LTROI’ was WHOLLY set around the mindset of the ‘Russian submarine’ real-life event.

I think John Ajvide Linqvist scored a huge ‘own goal’ by not disassociating himself from the site way back. Sad to see even some of the strongest critics of the site management have ‘rehabilitated’ themselves by promising to ‘behave themselves’

Having done a very quick ‘speed reading’ of topics it’s amazing that so much is ‘misery porn’. That the Chief Lieutenant and Law Enforcer (a Russian émigré to Texas) scores max overkill in: “<insert name here> DEAD AT THE AGE OF <insert age here>” type-posts. Creepy deepy, derpy.

My foray into the inner bowels of LTROI Forum hit the buffers when I found the perpetuated lie about why certain people had ‘left’ the Forum, of their ‘own’ volition.

Yeh. Like when thousands of young people have mysteriously ‘disappeared’ in USA Naval Intelligence operations in Latin America. Fucking scum.
