I think I am more like Agnes because she is sure she is gay and writes a diary longing for Elin. I also know people who have cerebral palsy like Victoria. I am very sure that I would never want to be outed like how her mom found the comp. diary and forced into some lame ass party. That is definetly me. I cannot relate to Elin because she is spoiled, & unsure of her sexuality

Hmmm........I think I'm a bit of both! Seriously, I was very much like Agnes whilst a teenager - I dressed similar to her (not anymore, though! ). Stayed in my room alot, playing music olleyes: And this will be hard to believe, but it was only after seeing the film that I actually admitted to myself that I have always liked girls as well as boys, so in that sense, I am a bit like Elin too. I remember lying to my friends that I liked a particular boy, when it was a girl that I really liked instead, but I didn't want anybody to know (although I did like boys too). The character of Elin is still very young and I think it would be natural for her to still be undecided as to her true sexuality. It just isn't easy admitting that you are gay/bisexual and I think that the film reflects that very well......

i think i am more like Agnes because i am sure that i like girls, and i also have pretty much no friends. i spend a good portion of my day locked up in my room listening to music and reading, or at the computer, and i also cut my wrists when im depressed. i really have no similarities to Elin except i use to lie to people about liking girls.

I'm sorry that you have no friends and that you get depressed. I used to get really bad depression and did harm myself a bit. This may seem preachy but you have to believe that things will get better. Whereabouts do you live? Strangely, I do feel a bit better about things since I admitted to myself that I like girls too, so perhaps that had a little to do with my depression a few years ago.........I wasn't being true to myself.

hey, thanks for writing me back.I live in New Jersey aka hell. I finally came out to my mother, she ignores the whole issue now. its like she thinks that if she simply ignores it, it will go away.

Kris,
I'm in my twenties and haven't come out yet. When the time is right, I will consider it, but whenever is the right time?! :unsure: I do know that members of my family do not agree with homosexuality/bisexuality, so I'm sure things are not going to be easy But the other day, I found out that a colleague's partner died of cancer. Made me realise that we have to live our lives in a way that is true to us and learn not to worry so much about what others think, although I know this is easier said than done.
Your mother is probably hoping that it is a teeanage phase that you are going through and is probably hoping it will pass. She's probably still in shock......you never know though, she may come round to it soon.....

Agnes. In elementary school I had almost no friends. I actually had to bribe other kids with my desert just to talk to me. And I was always the one longing after the guy (or girl as the case later turned out to be) in junior high and high school. The doubts, the moodyness -- I know them well. Thank goodness I have a lot more confidence and friends now. I saw a lot of myself in both girls though.

Hello everyone. This my first time visiting the site and I think it is totally cool. I am like both girls in some ways. Like Agnes, I don't have many friends. In early high school I didn't have any friends and sat alone at lunch, like Agnes. But later in high school i got some friends and have them still. I am in my first year in college now.

like Agnes:
-I didnt/dont hang out with the popular crowds in school
-I like music a lot, and weird music. I dont like the backstreet boys stuff.
-I wouldve walked out of the bathroom without much hesitation
-I consider myself an intellectual type. I like to write too.
-I get crushes like agnes and often dont do much about it. I just look at girls sometimes

Like Elin:
- I can be obnoxious and loud
- I will be straightforward about things
- I joke like she does in some ways

I've only just registered as I only just saw Show Me Love last night. since then, I have watched most of it again. Great movie. Officallly my new favourite movie. i think that i am mostly like Agnes (all the time i was watching it I was thinking "Oh My God! that is so me!"). I'm sure about my sexuality (I came out recently......Oh God....) and I'm obsessed with a girl at school (but she doesn't know). i spend most of my time in my room reading, writing, computering or listening to music. Also, my dad read my diary and found out about everything. i had to tell my mum. But i'm not like Agnes and more like Elin in that i'm loud, emotional, vain and have lots of friends. Yeah....so that's my two cents worth. ELIN AND AGNES FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!
