About as fair as asking Ian if he's enjoying the weather up in Cairns. :P

This - it makes me think of sweetgirl 8)

http://www.lowanthem.com/site/tlaplayer/player_omgcd.htm

Damn! Click on 'Launch Music Player' when you get to their site...and choose the album Oh My God, Charlie Darwin'

Don't Tremble

If your pilot light should die
Do not quake and do not bark
'Cause you will find the spark

If your tree should bear no fruit
Do not worry, do not spill
You are beautiful

If your clarinet should break
Do not cry a million lakes
Do not cry a million lakes

If the wind surrounds your house
Do not turn and twist about
Just wait it out

If your hand should lose it’s grip
Do not tremble, do not sweat
For where then would you get? [x4]

You have got the looks, my dear
To make a mountain shake
Imagine me

You have got the voice, my love
To melt a lake of ice
Imagine me

If your heart is unemployed
Do not rush, but do not stall
'Cause I'll be waiting...I'll be waiting.

Beautiful sad song.
The triplet style seems to give them the luxury of not having to fill up the time with superfluous words.

See what you mean about SG too.
Hope her life gets it together. 8)

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is out here Nov 29. *:)*

Now this is one I can actually see myself getting off the sofa and making the effort to walk down the street to the cinema to see. :P :D

If they get it, of course.

Is it a sad song? I don't think so, it seems to me to be very tender and real. Like a lot of The Low Anthem's stuff, come to think of it. But yes, it is beautiful, in the most simple and humble way. That's why I like them so much. Have you listened to any of the other tracks? There's a very high score of great tunes on OMGCD, I may have to buy a copy.

That's a very smart observation, fishy, and one that I suspect would please them a lot... 8)

Life seems to be much more unkind to sweetgirl than is strictly necessary. She seems to have signed up for a very hard incarnation...we just have to trust that the soul knows its business, I guess.

Bill Evans trio, 'My Foolish Heart' - he was the main piano player on Miles Davis' 'Kind of Blue', for anyone who didn't know...

The lion one is especially cute.
But I'm glad they stopped recording before it ate them all. :P

Hang on, I missed something a few posts ago.

Townsville. :D

That Harry/Hermione DH1 poster arrived today. Gorgeous. :D Though I may be overdoing it with the Emma posters. That's five now (one smal HP-Phoenix, a medium HP-Philosophers Stone, HP-DH2 and Ballet Shoes, and this new biggie), which is one more than Bex and Alex put together! :P

Townsville eh?

Just as warm, not as wet, same number of cyclones.

I like Townsville.
A mate of mine used to run a dive shop up there. 8)

What Made You Smile Today?
Today a friend who has been quiet for a long while, showed up in my in-box. She's been busy cat-sitting at a lovely house along the shore of Chesapeake Bay, enjoying the solitude and the pleasure of the the cats quietly coming and going and taking the odd moment to sit on her lap.

Made my day to see her name on that email message. I was absolutely ready for anything for the rest of the day.

Nice to catch up with old friends, eh?

I played golf today with an old friend I once shared a house with.
Not as much fun as cat-sitting I'll bet, but good fun just the same. 8)

Golf is something I for a long time wanted to try out, but I suspect I will be ultimatly crap at it
I'll better just stick to footy and tennis for now :Y

But tonight I'm doing my favorit activity above all, attending a concert :)
Live music is simply the best ever, imo, and since I been at the music scene way too rare the last couple of years, this one I really look forward to!
