Everybody's crap at golf. :| :P

Love concerts but haven't had the chance to go for ages, being a sole carer and all.
Hope it was great. *:)*

It was very good indeed, I had a great time! 8)

The band is called Oslo Ess, a fairly new (second album just came out) norwegian rock band.
They sing in norwegian, so I`d be suprised if any of you ever heard of them :P

One might have thought, after Sigur Ros, that non-English lyrics would not be such a disincentive to listening any more...are there any YT [or similar] links?

Couldn't find too much with good quality, but this one is pretty cool and charming:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSIbEqZDXI8

Acoustic version of their first big hit, preformed without audience on a rooftop somewhere in Oslo.

And the latest hit, with electric guitars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JcRKUiDVM4&feature=related

On a different subject, did anyone watch the Felix Baumgartner jump last night?
1,342 kilometres per hour free fall straight down from 39 000 meter, breaking the sound barrier.
That was just insane
Kudos to the man though, I for one was hugely impressed!

Good solid stuff, I imagine the gig was worth it.

Got a link for this jump...?

So, the drummer and keyboard player were too scared to get up onto the roof, eh? :P
Nice sound, both the accoustic and the electric.
Would've been good to see live. *:)*

It's been all over the news here, although I for one think he was crazy to jump out of a perfectly good balloon. :T  :P

Well, heights are for sure very scary. Or maybe they just didn't bother to carry a drumset all the way up the fire ladder! :T :P

Can't be hard to find a video of the jump, Dave. I read it's the most searched keyword in google at the moment. A truley groundbreaking world record 8)

Yes, it looks like a comfortable balloon, Fish

You're right of course, Dahls, it's everywhere now; deservedly so.

...finding this, a really excellent record I first heard 20-odd years ago, and still as relevant today as it ever was:

https://rapidshare.com/#!download|168p7|176111136|_ambrose_reynolds_-_greatest_hits.rar|49221|0|0

The title, 'Greatest Hits', does not refer to any pop charts. It's news and archive clips of various key political events [JFK's assassination etc] which Ambrose set to music, all pre-midi/sampling.

Check the tracks with Richard Nixon, the creepy, mealy-mouthed bastard...and Martin Luther King's dignity and goodness, on the very night before his murder.

Apparently the next series of Skins will compose of 3 specials, one of which will focus on Cook, Effy, Emily and Naomi. *:)*

I saw a comment hoping that "Naomi and Emily are still together, and that Effie joins them for a threesome".  8)

Finding this.... I don't want to jinx it so I won't even say that it's by Céline.
