Saw Back to the Future 2 again last night. Wonderful! The "future" sequences are a little amusingly dated now (I somehow don't think we're going to have flying cars within the next 5 years ) but otherwise it's as fresh and fun as it ever was. My personal favourite of the trilogy to be honest, I love the whole time paradox thing and the evil alternate 1985, not to mention the lunatic return back to the 50s and interacting with sequences from the original!

Classic. :D

Saw Avatar today. Mmm, well...

Visually, its amazing. The 3D is genuinely astonishing. Hell, wrap it around you instead of just on a screen and it's practically virtual reality.

Storywise, however... average at best.

An impressive technological achievement/breakthrough, certainly. As a film, it's no great shakes.

That's such a shame after all the hype.
Then again, maybe with all your scriptwriting credentials now you could organise a remake and really cash in. *:)* :P

I was actually getting bored toward the end.

Tell you the truth, the more I think about it, the more I dislike it. :|

I watched "Inherit the Wind" yesterday.

It's about a teacher who was put on trial for teaching Evolution in an American school.

It's from 1960 and is black and white and it has some great lines and dialogue in it.

Now that was a good film.
Hard to believe the events actually happened but I guess society has come a long way since then.
Let me rephrase that, I'd like to hope society has come a long way since then.

The Edge. Yeah, didn't like it as much this time. Probably seen it enough times now, to be honest. Scary bear, though.

Cat's Eye. Alright. The first story - the "We can make you quit smoking" company... that's run by the Mob!  - is the best.

Phone Booth. A niftily effective little thriller.

Watched it this night. I liked it (sure more than Twilight or Underworld).
Emily Perkins has quite the sullen, goth look in this movie.

I have to admit my main motive in watching Twilight was Kristen Stewart :)P but I've rather gone off her since she was selected to play Lisbeth Salander in the USA remake of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Why is it that like the remake of Let The Right One In, they always HAVE to go for ''chocolate box pretty'' in their characters. No way does Kristen look menacing enough for the role. Compare and contrast:

To be honest, I laughed my head off when I heard they were disgussing Kristen Stewart for the part. Apparently, they were looking for a girl with a "punky look and attitude" and someone who could handle the "psychologically heavy character of Salander" and of course everyone thought Kristen would do the trick ... :T :r

The hollywood people never let you down when it comes to making amusing choises, do they?
