What Annoys You?

More than annoyed, very nearly grumpy.

First time for a few days I had a little time to spare so I thought I'd follow a few leads to try and find Alex. Talk about making hard w*rk of it.

She must be doing it on purpose.

I've given up for the day, every single likely lead went nowhere and I'm just fed up with everything. Need a drink.

Good thing you weren't trying to find new Bex photos, I guess. Then you'd have been REALLY depressed.

What makes me mad?
This makes me mad.

I haven't run away and left you, what's happened is that I've been lumbered with some chores that are very time consuming, very important to a number of people, and impossible to delegate to anyone else. So I just have to get my arse into gear and spend a few days sorting through all the crap and hopefully finding an outcome which will make everyone happy.

And to make matters worse.... I was so going to put a caption under the Alex on the bed pic about calling in to give her a massage.

On the same note, still waiting to hear back from two other jobs.

When networks don't give a fine tv series a chance. When they don't promote it like they should, change the timeslot repeatedly, 2-3 weeks, before new episodes and then wonder why people aren't watching it. Example right now is Mercy on NBC. Great, fabulous show and now cancelled all because of the above.

I applied for this ESL writing job a few weeks back (including doing a written piece). They took a week to reply, saying they were just getting getting round to reviewing it. Then they take another six days to get me back to me again with the NEXT part of the application, which is bloody massive, and has a deadline of... tomorrow.


Really not impressed.

Hope you were able to do it anyway. I guess its tough when you're not in a position to tell them to shove it.

Just bear in mind Rebecka's and my "good luck" finger, that's bound to help.

I haven't done it yet. I might take a look at it later, but I've got a crap load of work to do, and if its too much and they won't extend the ridiculous deadline, they CAN shove it!

My mother tries to tell Alissa when to get married and what dress to wear. Alissa invited her Mom, 2 bridesmaids and 1 matron of honor and my Mom to try on wedding dresses. Well, my mom didn't like any of them. They were dresses for expectant brides. My mom tells Alissa that since (according to her) none of the dresses she's tried on look nice enough for the wedding, that Alissa should wait until after the baby is born and she's lost weight to get married that way she can wear nicer dresses. Alissa's mom and friends all like the dresses she's tried on and are ok with any of these. My mother says, they're wrong and ended up speaking very condicending and rude to them. She even said to them, that they shouldn't be there as they don't have any fashion sense and they would just ruin Alissa's wedding day. She throws a fit in the store and embarresses everyone and made Alissa cry. How dare my mother do that???!!!

This is all Alissa's account of the day.

Sounds like you need to take your mother to one side and serve her up a nice big steaming mug of S.T.F.U. Maybe you can dope her up for the duration of the pre-nuptuals? Seriously though, it should be Alissas family make the running in these arrangements. To be fair though, I just guess your Momma is just trying to compensate for your not having other close family members at your side. But she needs to temper that with realising that SHE is not the centrepeice of the show.
