I found L'Effrontée, but not had a chance to watch it yet.

It's charming, I'm sure you'll like it. The 13-year-old Charlotte Gainsbourg's performance was, like l'Acquart's, rightly feted.

I suppose certain...assumptions may have been set by the nature of her first role; we'll hope they don't dog the rest of her career.

The whole issue of same-sex intimacy somehow seems less charged between girls, I've never really understood this

I'm sure she's already shown the talent and the versatility to take on any role a filmmaker sends her way, judging by the variety of long and short films she's been in so far. It'd be a shame if she was typecast in any way.

But still.... one more time would have been nice.

Having trouble finding L'Effrontée on the net.
All I can find is one dubbed into German.
I mean, my French is bad enough.
So I tried to find the DVD to buy, and wouldn't you know it, the only two in the world, on Ebay France, don't have English subs.
Why would they?
