Well, I had a good night's viewing last night. The final episode of "The Little Vampire" (see thread), followed by an hour of MVs and such and then the very final two episodes of Friends.

Really enjoyed that. :D

Atomic Betty. I love this!! I'm new to watching it, after Sara insisting many, many times that I watch it. Anyways, adding this show to my ever-growing list of faves. It's a cartoon by the way.

Caught episodes 5 & 6 of Sugar Rush last night, missed the first 4 and now I regret it. Edgy British com/dram series from 2005.

Centres around Kim Daniels, a 15 y/o not out lesbian who moves from London to Brighton with her wreck of a family. There she meets Maria "Sugar" Sweet who seems a little older, she's into good times, booze and sex (with guys).

I believe only two series of this were made in 05 & 06. What's being shown here is the 1st.

Think I'll watch eps. 7 & 8 next week.

Yeah, sorry if you haven't got it Ian but it's on Showcase, one of Fox's movie channels. :(

I hate paying money to Rupert for 80 channels of mostly crap but at least the movie ones have something good on, occasionally.

Yeah, I figured it would be. Sounds far too interesting to be on free-to-air!

Too true. I think you have to be lucky to find much on either FTA or PAY that's of any real quality, so it's either pay to keep Rupert rich or just watch dvd's. It's just that with Fox there's a lot more quantity of crap from which to choose.

Even a show like The L Word just disappeared mid-season without any explanation. I suspect the "religious right" had their censors putting pressure on those doing the programming. Fox never even answered my email about it.

I think Sugar Rush is brill, especially the first series. I haven't seen it bar a one-off repeat since it was first aired. I believe Julie Birchill claimed to have written it in one week. It certainly shows her eye for detail and the human condition. I love that it is filmed around Brighton where I used to live. Series Two is OK but went to other scriptwriters and doesn't have quite the same punch as Series 1. It is good to see that Olivia Hallinan (Kimberly Daniels) has gone on to other things since.
