And in an effort to provide them with even more proof......
I've just about given up on Åmål-cam, think I'll try and find a Cåmel-cam instead.
Tiger-cam is not even all that exciting, they're mainly just mooching around in a flat, muddy bit of their enclosure.
At least they've gone outside for once though. *:|*

You will be comforted to know that Åmål (despite all appearances to the contrary) is a teen-friendly town. It says so on the town's official website, so there! :P this is what they say:

Young People in Åmål

In 1998 a Swedish film about teen life in a small town was a big hit in Sweden and the rest of Europe. The film title was “F ###**ing Åmål!” (The English title was “Show Me Love”) It created an overnight sensation in our small town. TV and radio reporters came to Åmål to see what it was really like to be a teenager here. We want to let you know what life is like for teens in Åmål and all the activities and services that make Åmål a teen-friendly town. We appreciate feedback and suggestions that can help us to keep you informed.

So if you have any complaints then email Agnes and Elin as indicated above.
Has anyone seen a film titled “F ###**ing Åmål!” :?: :?

I think I may have found a/the reason for the Ugandan flag which we can't see anymore. *:|*

The pic is from the article published on 19 Oct, and below that is the Google translation of the caption.

Now I'm not saying this is how it happened, but.....

Did anyone happen to notice a tiger near Åmål-cam just before it met its demise?

Trying to find Cåmel-cam, you'd be surprised (maybe not) what you come up with if you just type in that for a search.

None in Aus. (Why not? We export camels to the Mid-East! )

Tried Africa from north to south....

....none.

Fear not, when I'm doing something really stupid and pointless my patience knows no bounds. :T

Åmål....02:30.....Saturday.Image

Not nearly as exciting as I remembered it. *:|*

Don't know why I bothered. The still photo from the other side of the bridge looks as lively. *:|*

Maybe in another few hours. :W

7.30 GMT here which means that Sweden on CET must be GMT+1. They have either not altered the time on the webcam or else Amal is in a space-time warp  As it's displaying 10.30am we must be seeing what is going to happen there in two hours time .... :Y and you know what? it's still bloody boring :Z

11:00.
That white car has been parked there all night.
Still hardly anyone around.
Still dark even though the sky looks clear.
No flags.
Dry salmon.

I saw some like disco lights on in the building over the river and some kids in cossies walk by *:)* Maybe a kids festen? Anyhow its all quiet now 8.30ish Central European Time, and all blacked out like there's a war on. No pretty lights by the riverside. I guess the adults don't get up to much festing in Amal *:|* I did notice the tree has lost a few more leaves, that will be the main talking point among the town elders tomorrow. But daytime temperature here today has touched 20C again whereas Amal has been at about 4C. I guess the coldness discourages furtive fumblings along the riverbank.
