Didn't that happen in Dr Who v's the Daleks v's the Computer Geeks?

I'm sure that was the episode when the Dr and the Daleks had to join forces because they were stuck in a black and white universe caused by a rabid computer geek who wouldn't let them have an internet connection causing all time and relative dimensional travel to freeze in the year 1900.

Don't think they ever sorted that one out. :T :P

Hope you have more luck than the Dr. Image

After endless changing of cables, connections etc, all to no avail I turned it off, turned it back on again... and it's back to colour. :T

My new educational writing job.

They send me it late on Tuesday, with a Monday deadline. Ordinarily, that would be fine, except it's a completely new kind of assignment I've never done before, and an extraodinarily complicated one that by the time I've finished reading the instructions, I still have no idea what it is I'm actually supposed to do. So I ask for help/clarification on Wednesday morning. By Thursday morning, I have no reply. I email again. By this morning, I have no reply. I try someone else in the company, who tells me the other guy is the person to talk to, but he's off incommunicado in Korea for god knows how long, and he can't help.

I don't fancy their chances of getting a completed assignment by Monday, but frankly, that's their own fault. :T :r

As long as you don't have to go to Korea yourself in order to track down the answer.

I'm not sure it's the right place to be at the moment.

They've finally got in touch, clarified things and extended the deadline by 2 days. Thank goodness for that. It was getting ridiculous, but I didn't really want to lose them as clients, as they pay well.

Finally, at last, got to see the official release of ''Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest'' today. The cinema temperature was freezing. The audience huddled together for warmth, with thermos flasks and blankets provided by the Salvation Army. St Bernard dogs with brandy barrels were sent in to revive the pensioners who were flaking out. 30 minutes into the film the screen went blank  10 minutes later  staff got round to informing us there was a fire  ''fire!'' ''FFFFFire!'' ''FIRE!" :!: *Basil Fawlty impression* ''make your way to the car park!'' errr what Car Park? the cinema doesn't have a car park :T It's all been commissioned by ''hearts on their sleeves'' eco-wankers who pretend to ride bicyles to w**k but drive their 4x4s to Tesco at the weekends to fill up on Turkey Twizzler family-size packs to shove down their ingrate childrens throats. 30 minutes standing in a temperature of -3 Centigrade, before we were allowed back in by the fire engine people. *:)* No fire *:|* just a burst pipe on the sprinkler system. Go figure

This state of the art cinema/media complex (needless to say) is a prestige ''regeneration project'' of pseudo-arts projects surmounted by 90% unoccupied ''luxury apartments'' built in an area of derelict factories and rat-infested kebab shops. It perfectly complements the 60 million squid white elephant theatre complex a stones throw away that repeatedly shrunk its audience capacity through budget overruns to the point that it can't attract any major performers or players. All this is masterminded by elected councillors and local government so-called high fliers paid six figure salaries, the kind of corrupt scum that steals from the public purse and employs the likes of me for a pittance. Well worthy of a Stieg Larsson plot.

Apart from this (rant over) I enjoyed the film. :)
