You're not the only one to have interpreted it that way, mind. Just doesn't seem likely given that Smithy clearly knew him and wasn't very happy with him.

Doctor Who - I threw on The End of Time last night but turned it off after 10 minutes on the grounds that it's bloody awful. Even the voiceover at the start is hilariously badly written ("Everyone had bad dreams... but they forgot.. because they must... except for that guy... but he can't remember it much either..."). I ended up watching The Hungry Earth 2parter.

To be fair, it's not very good, but it's watchable enough and doesn't really go downhill until the second part. The NuSilurians are hilariously bad. It would be unbearable as a Tennant story, and as a series 7 story, but this is series 5, so Smith is still fresh and quirky and a breath of fresh air and hasn't yet been caricaturized in a series of irritating tics, and its Amy and Rory (before they were messed up by the ludicrous series 6 arc) rather than the personality vacuum that is Clara. It's worth watching for the regulars alone. That said, while its passably entertaining there's no getting around the fact that there's just no reason for this story to exist, given that it's just a complete rehash of a story that was done 100,000,000 times better 40 years earlier.

Just puchased a month of Netflix, primarily to catch the new season of Arrested Development.
Thought it started off a bit slow at the beginning, but it looks to be getting better by the episode (watched 3 so far).
Not sure if I like the idea that each episode mainly focuses on only one of the family members though, hope this doesn't continue throughout the season.

All in all it's just so much fun to see America's most dysfunctional family back on the air. :D

Saw the Daleks in Manhattan 2parter last night. A deeply peculiar story that, while by no means a classic, is still an enjoyable watch and a lot better than its reputation would suggest. Indeed, I'd go so far as to say it's the best New Series Dalek story outside of the Eccleston season! Basically, it's a stylistic pastiche of 1930s sci-fi horror movies like Frankenstein and The Island of Dr Moreau... but with showgirls and Daleks! It's a very odd brew and it doesn't entirely work, but it's never less than fun and you have to give them credit just for sheer chutzpah. There's certainly a lot, lot worse in New Who than this.

Started Dexter season 7. Excellent so far.

Deb: Are you... are you a serial killer?

Dexter:... Yes.

Still Dexter season 7. Line of the week:

Deb: You're a serial killer and I'm more fucked up than you are.

Finished Dexter season 7. Shocker of an ending. Oh Deb, what have you done? *:|*
Next season will be the last, and I'm starting to think I want Dexter to be either caught or killed. It may not be intentional but he and his secret life is wrecking the lives of everyone close to him. It got Doakes killed, Rita killed, now LaGuarta and, having learned and having to bear the weight of knowing his secret, is now corrupting and destroying Deb. :(
