Burned Alexandra's short film Som kärlek fast på riktigt! (Like Love But For Real) onto dvd, (1) To see it the blip still occured and (2) To see her on a bigger screen.
I'll have to play around with dvd Flick for a while yet before I get it right as it still did that "thing".
Alexandra is just the cutest little impish thing. Everything said before about her facial expressions is not enough. New superlatives will have to be invented. *:)* ^O^ :D

There will be no arguing with you on that one, either, fish.

That is on one of my 'mix' dvds, too. Along with many music videos (including many Rebecka/Alex ones, of course) and all the interviews I can get my hands on.

How do you get on without subtitles or can you use DVD Flick to insert ones you produce yourself?
I mean Alex is appearing in so much stuff these days (eg. SVT) that it would be nice to have some idea what she is saying.

How do I get on without subtitles?

I just watch and marvel how pretty they look.  :P

(Psst Alex actually speaks English sometimes, too. She did in that 'acting school' one, which took me by surprise rather!)

Touché.
I must be having a fuzzy brain day or something.
I meant to ask an intelligent question like, "is there some way to insert subtitles using DVD Flick?", and not the gibberish I did actually ask.
The second sentence is well taken. That's exactly what I do now.

Apparently there IS a way to insert subtitles with DVD Flick. I don't know how it works, though. Wouldn't have a clue how to start to add them even if I had the English translations for the interviews.

Started Cracker again last night. Brilliant stuff. Cracking (if you'll pardon the pun). :P

I think I'll buy a heap of blank dvd's tomorrow and play around a bit with dvd flick because there's obviously a lot more in it than we (and by we I mean I) know about. It'll give me the chance to try to sort out my infamous blip too as it still goes all troppo when it comes upon a dark scene. I think I buy pretty reasonable disks (either TDK or SONY) but I might try some different brands to see if that helps. :?

Can't say I've ever seen Cracker. I take it you like it eh?

Had a look at one of my old dvd's of Imagine Me and You after chatting with MPOX the other day. A pretty fair film made better by the inclusion of Piper Perabo.

Cracker is brilliant. One of the best British crime dramas ever. I'd certainly recommend checking it out. Brilliantly written and acted.

Let me know if you figure out how to work the subtitle thing. I've done about 6 dvds with DVD Flick. I've only watched one the whole way through, though I've checked the others too. I'm still not seeing this 'blip', so I don't know what it could be. Are your players modern? My oldest (which is nine years old now) won't play them at all, though all the other ones in the house do.

I only have one, it's a two and a half year old LG combo dvd/tape recorder/player. Never had this issue with any other disc so I'm assuming it's not the player. I guess if I can't figure it out I'll just have to put up with it.

I take it Cracker is on 2 (?) on a Wed night. I'll try to catch it next week.

What? No, I'm watching Cracker on dvd!

No, I wouldn't have thought it would be the player, then. Don't know what else to suggest! :(

I guess I won't be watching Cracker next Wed then.

Made a new disc with a dozen or so U-tube clips. The still photos were fine but any rapid movement with any dramatic change in lighting caused the "blip". Wonder if it's a PC thing as that seems to be about the only difference to your dvd's. Can't think what though. :?

I guess I'll have to ring my repair bloke and see what he suggests, probably a new PC might fix it. Either that or I just ignore it or give up making them.

I'm waffling. :T Later.

You could always try a different authoring software, there are some others floating about out there, I think. Otherwise, I really don't know!

Watched the House season finale last night. Well, that was a bit of a shocker. Poor Greg!

Thought I'd check in for a minute before I watch the next 2 Sugar Rush episodes.

I guess that's an option. I'll keep stuffing around with it for a little while yet though. I mean what I've put on disc so far is still worth watching. :|

I've never even seen a single episode of House. I know it's supposed to be good and all that.......and now it's the season finale.
Never enough time to see everything you'd like.

Just finished watching the last two episodes of series 1 of Sugar Rush, series 2 starts next Friday. What a brilliant show. If you ever get the chance to see it, don't miss it. :D According to Snaps series 2 is not as good but even if it's only half as good it'll still be worth watching.

Anyone know anything about DVDStyler found on this website?

If anyone's tried it can they give me their opinion? :Y :N

I've not tried it, fish.

Watched two new series Doctor Who eps last night:

The Lazarus Experiment... is crap, basically. Mark Gatiss is amusingly slimy, but he's wasted in this boring collection of cliches. It really is totally lifeless in every department. Formulaic to the nth degree. A waste of 45 minutes, and easily the worst story of series 3.
42 is better. It's still a bit of a runaround, but at least someone thought to include a few things like atmosphere, tension and the odd bit of genuine horror into it, which makes all the difference. Pretty good, if nothing special.

I suppose it depends if Sugar Rush ever comes on dvd here! If it does, I'll almost certainly give it a go.
